Timeless Tanzanite Pendant & Iconic Photography
Closing May 11, 2025 at 12 PM AEST • 452 Oxford St, Paddington, Sydney •
8D 7H 52M 50S left
Description
This sale features a showstopping 20-carat ‘D-block’ Natural Deep Blue Tanzanite set in an 18ct White Gold Pendant, surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds. These rare Tanzanites are prized for their deep, natural colour, once attributed to ancient bushfires and now nearly impossible to find in this size. From jewels to history, we present a China War Medal awarded to W.H. Littlefield, a British sailor who later manned Sydney’s Watson’s Bay Signal Station during the 1942 Japanese midget sub attack. Related memorabilia includes a lead submarine model and a labelled relic from the wreck. Also included is a significant photographic collection by Charles Kerry and Henry King, celebrated for their evocative portraits of Aboriginal Australians and acclaimed internationally for their photographic excellence. These highlights only scratch the surface of what’s on offer. Dive into a sale filled with rarity, beauty, and history.
